ANNOUNCEMENT: SUMMER EVENT GAME GUIDES WANTED

Grasshopper NYC is looking for people to serve as "game guides" at a series of
evening events this summer. The job is simple to explain but hard to do well:
help folks have a good time in a face-to-face social setting by recommending,
teaching, and (where necessary) running games. Experience with board and card
games is helpful, but most important is a friendly, outgoing personality; an
ability to interact with groups of everyday people (i.e non-gamers!)
effectively; and a knack for to clearly explain things. Training will be
provided. To apply, email gameguides@grasshoppernyc.com.

ANNOUNCEMENT: GRASSHOPPER NYC ROUND TABLE GAME JAM, March 1-3

Come make a game to be part of Grasshopper's launch menu. Judges include
Frank Lantz, Noah Sasso, Matt Parker, and Jesse Fuchs. Info and signup here.
UPDATE: Unity has kindly agreed to provide a Unity Pro 4.0 license as prize!
POST-JAM UPDATE: We had a wonderful jam, with 8 games made, several which we
hope will continue development and become part of the initial Grasshopper menu.
Thanks to the over 50 jammers and the four outside judges for a great weekend.

ANNOUNCEMENT: SPRING/SUMMER INTERSHIPS (PAID) AT GRASSHOPPER NYC

Grasshopper NYC is looking for spring/summer interns -- in game design/dev
(Unity C#) and also in Python, Flash, Arduino etc., and event production.
Email ien@grasshoppernyc.com for info and to apply. UPDATE: We are no longer
formally accepting applications for Summer 2013 but do get in touch if you'd
like to talk about ways of getting involved down the road.
